On July 7th Europe Championship Women Division C for small countries which took place in Gibraltar.
On 02/07/13 the Cyprus team swept victory over Monaco 79-36. On 04/07/13 the adrenaline continued as they beat Wales 74-24. Gibraltar was unable to tackle the Cyprus team on 06/07/13 as they lost to Cyprus 62-22. The final match was on 07/07/13 against Scotland, but once again Cyprus proved to be a formidable opponent as they took the win 67-40.
Cyprus took the well-deserved first place as the unstoppable team that finished undefeated and was proud to bring home the Gold!
After returning home, some members of the team visited Fasouri Waterpark on July 12, where they relaxed and enjoyed a day of summer fun in the sun. 2013 the Cyprus Women’s National Basketball Team (U16) seized the Gold Medal at the FIBA.
